How to Order

Thank you for choosing Aurora Imaging Services.
We are confident you will be satisfied with the results.
Please follow the instructions below to order your selected service.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or e-mail us with them.

Restoration

The first thing you need to do is send in your photo. You may send it by the US Postal Service or UPS. Both have a priority service and can track a package if missing in transit. So far they have both been reliable and timely sources. Because of our location, other services may not be available.

Please include the following information:

a) Your name, address and phone number. If you wish to correspond by e-mail, make a note as such and include your e-mail address.

b) If there is more than one photo, please designate them by a name or number on the back of each photo. Write with a felt tip marker as not to leave indention's on the photo. If you do not wish to write directly on the back of the photos, removable stickers work very nicely.

c) Provide as much information as you can about the photo; the year it was taken, where it was taken, an event it was taken at, anything special, etc.

d) Describe any ideas you have for the restoration; color changes, cropping, etc.

e) Specify if you would like the finished work stored onto a disc and/or prints made. If you want prints, include what size and color (black & white or color/sepia tone) and how many of each you would like.

f) Advise as to what fashion you would like to receive your quote, mail, phone or e-mail. Phone is especially useful if there is to be any discussion about the photo and it's restoration.

g) Send it all to: Aurora Studios, 840 Gratiot Street, Copper Harbor, MI, 49918.

Your photo will then be examined and you will be given a free quote by e-mail, mail or phone. You will also be advised to what time frame to expect completion of the restoration. If you wish to have the work done you will go to the next step. Otherwise, your photo will be sent back to you at no charge.

Now that you've chosen to have your photo restored, you will need to make a deposit. This is typically half of the quoted price, the other half being due at the time of completion. You may pay with a personal check, money order or cashiers check made payable to: Aurora Studios

Color Correction & Cropping/Enlarging

Storage

You will be asked in the instructions for restoration, color correction and cropping, to indicate if you would like the photo(s) stored onto a disc.

Prints

You will be asked in the instructions for restoration, color correction and cropping, to indicate what size, color and quantity of prints you would like.
